If you’re a Hispanic gamer like me and always on the hunt for an amazing game, let me do you a solid and add one more to your library: Starfield.
Released in 2023, Starfield is an action role-playing game with a list of reasons that make it a must-try. Whether it’s the game’s plot, gameplay, its additional features, or recent updates, each one plays a huge role in making the game an amazing experience.
In this article, I’ll explore some of the reasons why Hispanic gamers might want to consider trying out Starfield.

- Engaging Plot
The game centers around you joining a team of space explorers called the Constellation to travel to different parts of the galaxy and collect mysterious and valuable artifacts. Hang on, doesn’t that sound like our elders who came to the US chasing the American dream?
During this journey, you also have the option of joining other teams with different goals. During your missions, you come across (this is the best part) people from a parallel universe, called the Starborns.
You then learn that the Starborns have been travelling through many parallel universes with the mission of collecting all artifacts within the universe and reaching the Unity, the center of the universe they’re in, and a portal to other parallel universes.
You soon come across an artifact known as the Grav Drive, which was responsible for the destruction of the Earth. From there, the player has to choose whether they will help the Starborns or not.
Either way, the player has to fight the Starborns, and if they win, they reach the Unity and run across a parallel version of themselves. But here’s the catch: the parallel version explains that by entering the unity, the player becomes a Starborn and will have to start a new life in a parallel universe.
- Immersive Gameplay
The game is entirely open world, so you can interact and immerse yourself in the surroundings. It features over 1000 fictional and non-fictional planets, moons, and space stations where you can land. You can also switch between a first-person and third-person view depending on which you prefer.
What stood out to me is the realism of the NPCs. Throughout the game, you’ll come across many of them, and they’ll realistically help you in battles, carry objects, speak to other NPCs for you, and even offer feedback on the decisions you make. Talk about the perfect friend!
Oh, and did I mention that you can even rizz up and start relationships with some of the recruitable NPCs? Let a little bit of that Hispanic flair shine here, fellas!
This realism extends to other parts of the game as well, for example, the jetpacks you use. These can help you cross through tough environments, and they also vary in gravitational force depending on your character’s body size. Nothing screams attention to detail louder than this.
You also have the freedom to create outposts on planets, buy, and customize weapons and ships, as well as allocate power to ships or weapons depending on the situation. You can customize the ship’s rooms, paint, décor, and more. You can also commandeer other ships and choose to speak, trade with, or kill the occupants.
- Offline Gaming
If you’re a Game Pass subscriber like me, you’ll need an internet connection to play the game.
Just in case you’re looking for one, I’d recommend Xfinity because of their speed and reliability. Plus, they offer bilingual customer service, so Hispanic gamers are in luck; Xfinity servicio al cliente can provide support in Spanish with internet plans and whatnot.
However, if you’ve not subscribed to Game Pass, the only thing you need an internet connection for is to download the game or install the patches.
The best part is that offline play is not limited to a specific platform; it can be enjoyed on any platform you prefer, including the Xbox Series X/S, your PC, or through any physical and digital copies you own.
One more thing I really appreciated as a Hispanic gamer is the Spanish-language option! We can easily switch the in-game language to Spanish, which is amazing for those of us who prefer playing games in our native language or with our brethren!
- Updates
Some parts of the game were met with mixed to negative reviews, such as Starfield’s downloadable content, Shattered Space. Additionally, there were also occasional instances of minor technical issues in some of the game’s missions and features.
Fortunately, the creators behind the game have worked to fix these issues and improve the user experience. They have expanded the creator kit, worked on resolving minor bugs with the game’s vehicle systems and missions.
They have also worked on improving the user interface and parts of Shattered Space. Gamers on Steam can get a glimpse of these updated features in the beta version.
I just hope they launch a multiplayer version of the game sometime soon, too. I mean, we’ve been chasing them for years now. Let’s hope for the best, fingers crossed.
Starfield – A Galactic Gaming Experience
Starfield’s plotline, wide range of features, and immersive gameplay on their own make it a must-have for Hispanic gamers, or any gamer for that matter, to try.
The ability to play offline and the wide range of updates that have just recently been introduced to the game serve as the cherries on top.
If you’re looking for a gaming experience that’s literally going to take you to the stars, I’d suggest wasting no more time and giving this one a go. Who knows, it might just be your next possible favorite.
